    Excitement rose as Year 1 children gathered around the covered animal cages, they could not wait to learn what was waiting inside. Luke from Quirks’ Animal Roadshow first introduced the insects he had brought along. There was a giant snail, which the children described as gentle and slimy. Then a tickly millipede and ‘Legs’ the tarantula. Most intriguing to the children was the cockroach, which hissed like a snake every time they stroked her. Read More
