    Year 3 took part in the first Windmill Zoolological Society Debate. Last week the children researched predators in Computing and then created their own predators. Having worked on speeches in English they then wrote a speech to tell everyone about their predator and why it is the best. We talked a lot about using rhetorical questions, repetition, exciting adjectives, powerful verbs and triples. Read More

  • Sponsored Zumba Dance Session

    Sponsored Zumba Dance Session

    Windmill children and staff had fun today at our Sponsored Zumba Dance Session. Zumba combines Latin music, simple dance steps and body-shaping movements. Itís great fun and a wonderful cardiovascular workout. Children have been busy asking friends and family to sponsor them to Zumba Dance for up to 30 minutes. The event was held to raise money for our Creative Arts Week in June and for library books for lunchtime. The challenge was set Ė could we Zumba for 30 minutes? The children and adults superseded all expectations and danced, wiggled, bobbed and jumped to the groovy Latin tunes for 30 minutes plus a little extra! Thank you to all the Windmill staff for organising such an exciting event. Thank you to all the children for rising to the challenge and showing us some wonderful dance moves.
