Luke from Quirks’ Animal Roadshow first introduced the insects he had brought along.  There was a giant snail, which the children described as gentle and slimy.  Then a tickly millipede and ‘Legs’ the tarantula.  Most intriguing to the children was the cockroach, which hissed like a snake every time they stroked her.

Amphibian were next to be shown.  The white tree frog ‘Splat’ was amazing.  Luke let the children hold out their hands and ‘Splat’ stuck to them, she had very sticky ‘hands’ to be able to climb trees.  ‘Splat’ took a liking to Ben choosing to stay with him by leaping onto his jumper.  ‘Jaffa’ the cornsnake was also very friendly and the children really enjoyed interacting with him.
