Home School Link Worker

Mrs Sarah Phillips

I would like to introduce myself to you in my role as Home School Link Worker at Windmill Primary School.  You may recognise me from my role as Office Administrator, when I call to say your child has bumped their head!

My role as Home School Link Worker is to offer support to parents and carers, as well as children, across the whole school in any way that I can. As the term progresses I hope to be able to offer parenting support, give advice on summer holiday activities, deliver workshops on learning, child development and milestones, take part in drawing and talking therapy with children and also seek your view as to what support you would like.

I am available to speak to parents and carers and offer help and support on a wide range of issues affecting family life.

If you would like to get in touch with me, or have any concerns about issues affecting your child, then please catch me in the office, call me on 01189 029 123 or email me at

In my HSLW role I will be available every Monday between the hours of 8.45am and 2.30pm and Thursdays from 9am until 11.30am.  Why not pop along to my weekly HSLW Coffee Mornings on Mondays, 9.00am to 10.00am - everyone welcome.

Parent Workshops

As part of my role as the Home School Link Worker I will be running Parent Workshops throughout the academic year.  This is a chance for parents to learn about different methods and skills we teach your children, so that you can help them with these at home.  There will also be an opportunity to look at the resources used in school and ask any questions.

These workshops will run alongside the HSLW coffee morning on a Monday morning from 9.00am to 10.00am.  The workshops will be held in a classroom and therefore there will be a maximum of 30 spaces available for each session and these will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Below is an overview of the planned workshops for the academic year.
