GLF Schools' Foundation

The GLF Schools’ Foundation is an exciting new initiative within the Trust which will provide opportunities for all young people within our schools to have exposure to additional opportunities and experiences regardless of their financial background. The Foundation aims to minimise the socio-economic barriers that exist, preventing young children from exploring, experiencing, and enjoying a variety of beneficially healthy activities. Within our 41 schools, we have approximately 3,000 young people - 19% of our total children - who are recognised as disadvantaged. We wish all children to have the opportunity to access a breadth of opportunities.

As a member of GLF Schools’ community, you may be able to help to deliver these opportunities, which will positively benefit the health and wellbeing of our children, enabling them to maximise their potential. Every donation will have an impact on the opportunities and experiences we can offer our students.

As an example of the partnerships we are forming through the Foundation, we have a visit from Tim Henman at one of our Primary Schools, Chestnut Park tomorrow. Tim’s Foundation has funded a tennis programme at Chestnut Park which we will be able to roll out to other schools in different regions to ensure all children have exposure to tennis and its benefits.
