Dear Parents and Carers,
Windmill’s sports day, for Years 1-6, will take place on Wednesday 10th June at Woosehill Meadows (the park area behind the school). Please meet us on the Meadow for a morning of sporty fun.
We have decided to run 2 sessions, so all children get more participation in races this year.
At the end of their session, children will return to their classrooms to continue the school day.
To make the start of sports day as quick and easy as possible, we would like all children to come to school wearing full PE kit on this day. School sweatshirts will be needed if the weather is chilly. If we are lucky enough to have a sunny day, all children must have a sun hat and a long-lasting sunscreen should be applied before the start of school.
Wokingham Borough Council will not charge us for the use of the Meadow as long as we leave it clean and tidy, so please take your rubbish home with you. The Meadow is a public space; please do not bring your family pet dog.
Staff will supervise toilet trips into the school building and deal with children’s welfare needs, so you can relax and enjoy the fun as a spectator.
Toilets in school will be available for parents/carers to use. We respectfully request that you do not smoke during this event.
