Dear Parents/Carers,
I am writing to share some important information with you regarding an exciting upcoming event at school. On Monday 2nd November, the children will be visited by Pierre Henry-Fontaine, a professional athlete, as part of a Sports for Champions event.
The aim of this event is to inspire children to enjoy sport, understand the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle, and learn about the dedication, resilience and determination required to achieve success.
Your child has received a sponsorship form and will be encouraged to seek sponsorship from family and friends for taking part in a fun fitness circuit at school. The money raised helps to fund future athlete visits and supports young people in sport. It is also a great opportunity for us as a school to receive additional funds that can be invested back into the children's PE curriculum. Sponsorship can also be made online using the details provided on the form.
During the visit, Pierre will lead the children through a fitness challenge before sharing his sporting journey, achievements and experiences. The children will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about what it takes to perform at an elite level.
Children who raise sponsorship will be eligible to receive rewards and prizes, details of which can be found on their sponsorship form.
We are very excited to welcome Pierre to our school and are sure that the children will find the experience both educational and inspiring.
