Celebrating Birthdays
We would like to change the way we celebrate birthdays in school. We currently allow children to bring in sweets to share with the class. We would like to ask that from Monday 25th September that children no longer bring in sweets. This is due to a wide range of dietary requirements/ allergies and we want to ensure the safety and inclusion of all children.
Instead we will be celebrating by:
- Birthday celebration in assembly
- Children wear their own clothes on their birthday. If your child's birthday falls on the weekend, it can be celebrated on the following Monday. Similarly, if it falls in the holidays, you can pick a day in the first week we return.
If families would like to share something with the class, we would love it if children brought in a book to gift to the class. This is, of course, completely optional and only a suggestion.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
Kind Regards
