Recommended Reading Lists

Encouraging children to develop a life-long love of reading depends largely on children having access to quality literature that is 'just right' for them.  In other words, what a child reads should be challenging enough that they can read and understand 90% of the words, but not so easy that the text doesn't provide any challenge at all.  Sometimes the reasons children don't read regularly are also because they don't know what to read. 

In order to help with this, we have created Recommended Reading Lists for each year group.  If your child is reading at a level different from their year group, do please take a look at the recommended reads that are ideal for your child.  Please note that this list is recommended, not required and it is also not exhaustive.  If you know of other books we should add, do please let us know!
