GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Volunteering, Fundraising and Sponsorship

We could always do with an extra pair of hands to serve tea and coffee or manage a stall at an event.  If you are free to help out at one of our events, please let us know.

If you do not have time to be hands on with events, there are other ways you can support FOWP:

Work Match Funding - Some of our parents use their ‘match funding’ perk from work to boost our income from our events.

What is Match funding?

Copied from PTAUK:   Many companies throughout the UK offer employees the chance to boost their fundraising efforts by 'matching' the money they raise. It really is money for nothing, and your PTA could double the amount of cash it raises with very little effort.

‘Match giving or match funding is a simple way of maximising the fundraising efforts of your individual PTA volunteers. It is an informal albeit corporate arrangement between a company and their employee. Not all companies offer matched funding but those that do will pledge a sum of money relating to the amount their employee has raised for or donated to the charity of their choice. Some organisations will match fund on a £ for £ basis, others will stipulate what they are prepared to give. It is likely that an upper limit will be applied along with certain criteria such as the recipient organisation being a registered charity. Some companies will also pledge time and resources instead of money, so enabling their employees to support a cause during their working week, or offering a tangible service such as the opportunity to print posters, programmes, newsletters and so on.’

Bags2School – please donate any old or spare clothes, shoes, soft toys, belts etc. to the school. The money raised goes directly to the FOWP. To pick up a bag, just visit reception, alternatively you can use a black sack. Please leave your bags by the FOWP shed.

Gift donations – if you have any unwanted Christmas gifts, books or gift sets you’ve had unused in a drawer for months on end, we’ll happily take them off your hands to put together raffle prizes or to sell and raise more money for the school. Books in perfect condition may be added to the school library directly.

Easy Fundraising – Make free money for us when you shop online! Visit our Easyfundraising link on the left for more information.

The Friends of Windmill Primary School would like to thank Martin and Co estate agent for their generous and continued support.  We look forward to working with them for future events.
