GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.
In science, Year 5 have created model solar systems in the playground. They scaled down the distances between the Sun and the planets of the solar system so that they could use spherical shapes to represent the planets. They have also had fun creating their own mnemonics to remember the order in which the planets come.
Each of our schools has its own distinct character and culture which is respectful of its community and context but their utmost common ground is that it is our staff that make each school.
