GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Home-School Communication

At Windmill Primary School, we recognise the importance of excellent communication between families and school. As a school, we will use a variety of methods to communicate with families, in addition to having an open door policy to allow for face to face communication.

School office: Telephone 01189 029 123 or Email info@windmillschool.org

Our Communication Strategy

  1. To have an up-to-date website with a calendar and supporting documentation so that families can always find the information in one place.

  2. To provide a weekly Bulletin with reminders and day to day information.

  3. To produce a fortnightly Newletter to provide further insights into school life, examples of our curriculum in actions, photos of events that are happening in school as well as useful information and links.

  4. To provide specific letters / communications aswell as ad hoc communication for anything unplanned and additional reminders sent through ParentMail.

  5. To provide face to face meetings, as often as possible, supported by slides that are posted on the website for those that do not attend. Parents' Evenings are held for all families in both the Autumn and Spring term each year.

  6. To use social media pages on Facebook and Instagram to share information to the wider community.

What do do if I have a question or conern?

We kindly ask that all concerns are reported to the class teacher in the first instance. Class teachers can be contacted through the school office. Our class teachers are almost always the best people to deal with queries and concerns.

If you have a safeguarding conern, please contact Miss Nicola Cotter (Head of School and Designated Safeguarding Lead) via the school office.

Our Complaints Policy and Procedure guide will help you with understanding how your concerns or issues will be dealt with in a timely and sensitive manner.
