Nursery Ducklings Settling Well
Nursery have amazed us with how well they have settled in this term. We have been busy embedding our daily routines and getting to know one another.
In phonics, we have been practising our listening skills, matching sound makers. Our maths focus has been on recognising primary colours and saying the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Last week, the children enjoyed singing Five Little Speckled Frogs.
As part of our transition project, we have been thinking about ourselves and our families. The children painted fantastic self-portraits for our display and enjoyed talking about one another's family photos, which are now displayed in our home corner. Thank you for sending in those photos and we welcome more, as we would love every child to have their family photo/s displayed.
Our snack bar is always a hot spot during discovery time, and it has been wonderful to see the children develop their independence in serving themselves, pouring water and drinking from open cups. We love discovery time and hope that you enjoy looking at the photos of us exploring our learning environment.
