Puffins Settle Into Their Habitat!
We have been super impressed with how well our Puffins have settled into Reception over the past few weeks. The children are becoming familiar with the daily routines and the expectations we have for them. We have also enjoyed wonderful discussions about our families, interests, and hobbies.
As part of our creative learning, the children have been busy creating self- portraits. Through this activity, they explored their facial features while learning to use paintbrushes to achieve different artistic effects. It’s been amazing to see how each child has expressed themselves uniquely through their artwork!
In preparation for phonics starting, the children have been engaging in Phase 1 listening games. They’ve had a great time playing “Guess the Musical Instrument” and “Guess the Animal Noises,” as well as enjoying classic listening games like Simon Says.
The Puffins are thriving in their new environment, and we look forward to more exciting adventures ahead!
