Year 3 Wheeled Objects Experiment

In our GLF Wider curriculum Year 3 experimented looking at how wheeled objects move on different surfaces. This started a class discussion about forces and friction.

 

Children brought their bikes and scooters into school: they rode them on the tarmac, astro turf and grass. After we had a class discussion about which surface was the hardest to ride on.
