Year 6 Settling In
Year 6 have played some exciting games to settle into the new year, designed inventions to collect paper clips as part of our science learning, wrote and delivered House Captain speeches to the entire school, and we've already completed some assessments!
The class are beginning to build up their stamina and are getting used to our busy days in Year 6, they have sure enjoyed earning A LOT of dojos too! I am incredibly proud of the hard work everyone put into writing a speech to become a House Captain, and a massive well done to those who got up and delivered their speech to an audience of near 200 children - it's not easy but you smashed it!
In our GLF Curriculum lessons, we are embarking on a project to build our own vacuum hoovers using recycled materials and electronic circuits. The children are really excited at the idea, and I can't wait to see how they work together to tackle a difficult first topic.
